An illustrated talk by our Chairman, Ian Whyte, looking at the changes to the Yorkshire Dales over the years.
Monday 22nd November 2010, 7.30pm
An illustrated talk by our Secretary, Steve Williams, about the hamlet of Top o’th’ Lane in Brindle.
A row of Weavers Cottages, it was also the site of a 17th century Roman Catholic Chapel and a Workhouse (1734 – 1871).

24th January: Death of a village - Steve Williams gives an illustrated talk about the French village of Oradour-sur-Glane, razed to the ground by the German Army during June 1944, massacring 642 residents.
28th February: AGM followed by 'A dip into the archives' - Our short Annual General Meeting is followed by our annual look into the archives.
We are planning a 9 day coach trip to France during mid- June 2011. Based in Caen, there will be visits to the D-Day beaches in Normandy, Mont. St. Michel and the famous Bayeux Tapestry; details available from the Secretary.
Meetings are normally held on the fourth Monday of each month in Brindle Community Hall, Water Street, Brindle PR6 8NH starting at 7.30 pm. There are no meetings in July, August or December.
